Question for yall, are the pipes chrome dipped or painted? previous owner spray painted the pipes black >_< and i want to try restoring the chrome and shinyness that once was. So my question is can i strip high heat spray paint and preserve the chrome, then polish/buff to get it nice? or am i just gonna have to buy new pipes?
also has anyone refinished their gas tank? mines all scratched and fadded id like to put some shine into it but dont know if i can just wax/buff it?
i think thats it for now... thanks all!

If the chrome is in good shape you should be able to use paint stripper on it without damaging the chrome.I refinished my tank at home myself.
