Hello again, everyone. I'm having some trouble figuring out what could be wrong with my bike this time. It starts right up, idles fine, warms right up no problem. Finally. The problem now is that when I blip the throttle (in neutral/clutch in), it takes a good several seconds for it to drop back to idle speed. Totally rideable, but probably not the safest thing. Any thoughts? Is this a common problem?

You either have a vacuum leak or your throttle cables are hanging up.You can check for vacuum leaks by spraying WD-40 around the boots with the bike running,if your bike revs up,you have a vacuum leak.Second you can disconnect your throttle cables at the carb & see if she returns noramly.Usuayyr it is the return cable that will cause the problem.

I sprayed WD-40 on the boots like you said, and nothing happened. I had been planning on checking out the return cable too but after riding for a few more days it's become much less dramatic. It still takes longer than I think it should but I'm not gonna worry about it until I get some free time to look at the cable. Thanks for the insight though!
