Does anyone know what the distance sensor actually does/ how it operates?
I do know that both of its connections are wired into the turn signal control unit.
Thanx -divot-

Some models had automatic cancelling turn signals. They still work on my 1986. You drive a preset distance, and the turn signal turns itself off. There is a control module under the seat.

The auto cancel function works thru the speedometer and the control module on the bike. Most of these are by now non working, due to age, or other things. Once in a while, they still work, and those that still work...congratulations to the lucky owners!! on the later models, this function was discontinued, due to the function not being reliable.

Thx for info. Think I'll not worry about that and take ir out my setup. Re-wiring a bike that's in good condition other than the electrical. Someone bobber/rat biked it, and I really like it. Though, they didn't seem to understand wiring basics .
