I was cruising, hit the signal and nothing that involves a light works. Checked the fuses all good. Bike runs fine Any ideas?

Sorry for the slow response, yes the headlights dash, signal, brake, and plate light are out. The speedometer and tack work fine, bike it running great( except can't do the cold idle) I parked it when it first happened because it was getting dark and no lights kinda scared me. I saw some posts that it may have to do with the ignition and I just need to jiggle the key, Magic and thing started working. But as I was riding the problem continued to cut in and out as I was driving. I assume a bad connection, any suggestions on where to start would be great ( just got the bike 4 weeks ago and have fixed some things including replacing the left signal lamp so I needed to open the headlight, possible issue?) ps. First bike, riding every day, pretty much addicted and have fallen for the machine!

Did I understand right that when you giggled the key, that the problem cleared? If so, check the connection to the ignition switch...the switch could also be defective or the contacts dirty.

Cleaned all electrical connections and sprayed lubricant inside them. Problem solved thanks guys. Took her on a 3 day 1500km road trip and not a problem except it went through a liter and a half of oil, is that a concern?

My bike got knocked over recently and my electrics aren't working. It broke my steering lock so thought it may have tripped something. All my fuses seem fine, i have a feeling this is the same problem though. I'm going to try looking at the ignition wires tonight. This may save me a trip to the shop. Thanks.

Just an update, apparently the bike being knocked over and the steering lock being broken busted my ignition switch. I'm glad it wasn't anything more than that anyway. I noticed my key turning really loose after the fall so that should have been the first clue.
