What's up all. The levers on my '85 454 are just ugly,grey,old things. The perches and master cylinder aren't too bad and just need cleaned up. I found some chrome wide bladed skull levers that I was told would fit just fine. They were cheap and I like em so I got em. I was working on other stuff on the bike and by the time I got to putting them on it was past the return time,and they don't quite fit. The bolt hole is larger than than the original ones,and things just don't exactly line up perfect like they should. Found out again,too late,that they are "universal" to Kawasaki...vulcan 500 700 and 800,or 900's... Pretty much they just plain don't fit. I didn't have $$ for a whole new aftermarket brake clutch lever setup,but I might now?? Has anyone bought and used these eBay skull levers?? If so,anyone know what year or kind of brake clutch master cylinder setup I can buy and just switch out whatever levers come with em so I can use my skull levers?? I saw a similar custom set that has flame shaped levers,and I'm positive they're not OEM,but they do say compatible with my bike and all the plugs and all are right?? I actually have the matching flame style mirrors,so might be ok? The flame lever part looks sharp and uncomfortable,but hoping my skull levers might be swappable with the custom setup?? Anyone know??
