So, I'm trying to get these Porky Pig exhausts on my 454. Got the 1.75 pipe, at 2 ft. And weirdly I actually like the look of the long pipes. But how would I mount them up so they don't drag on the ground?

I used flat aluminum to make mount to bolt to back of muffler & up to original mount on frame.I cut the pipe to the length that worked best to line up with mount on frame.

You need to have an exhaust company put a slight bend in the 1 3/4 inch pipe to bring the whole thing up level. Looks like you may have actually cut the stock exhaust header in the wrong place......I, and most others cut it right next to, and in front of, the "T"of the crossover.

Put a bunch of Titanium bolt on the end and call the bike Sparky! But really just get a good exhaust place to bend it right at the start. Naa Ti bolts make huge sparks!

Sweet. The pipe will go level, just very back heavy. And I cut the stock exhaust right before the T on the front side. Hmm. Think I'm going to run 12" baffles and echaust wrap. These Porky Pig muffs have the brackets in weird places, and unless I cut em off, I'll have random hinges hanging about

I bought a 1.75 pipe that has a 1.75 I'd to 1.75 od connector on it. The 1.75 I'd connects on the pipe where I cut. The 1.75 od goes up the pipe further, hitting the bend in the pipe. If I recall correctly. I need to flip the pipe around. Can't wait till its a bit warmer out so I can actually do something. Got pods on the way!! And I'm going to do the valve actually just mentioned myself. I'm sure I'll post more questions even with the tutorials.

Make sure you use some type of hanger on the pipe/muffler, or the exhaust will break up near the engine.

This is wear I'm at right now. Got 12" baffles in the pipes now. Loud but manageable. Rear fender is going to be mounted tomorrow along with seat finally. All wires are going to be seated in the right 454 plate. Looking to whitewall tires, any good paints I can get locally??
