Hi gang! Long time lurker, brand new member, and first time poster. After a bunch of trouble shooting such as checking all grounds, searching for corroded wires and connections, ensuring all fuses to be in good working order, etc, I decided to simply bypass the starter button all together and instead, connect a couple of 8 gauge wire to a switch from the solenoid. For <$10 the bike starts right up. It's an 8 bobobber project and the PO really did a number on the wiring harness. Anyhow, this was the simplest and cheapest (temporary) fix and I figured it could be of use to someone else ?

Hi, So you simply by passed all the relays diodes kill switches etc. I guess live to the solenoid and earthed out trough the starter button?
So the engine is not looking to any of the things bypassed to be able to start?
For example the engine is not looking for power through a relay before it generates a spark? Coz that would be daft as that would not mean you could bump start it and I assume you can bump start the ltd.
