I need to replace the battery in my bobber and want to go with the smallest battery I can so I can fit more stuff in the battery box. I've seen really tiny lithium batteries around 120 CCA and am wondering if anyone has used a battery this small. It doesn't take much to crank this thing over so I'm hoping I can get away with 120 CCA.

As it turns out, Lithium batteries are rated with LCA (Lithium cranking amps) rather than CCA (cold cranking amps) so the numbers are somewhat confusing. I ordered the 120LCA battery and it's the size of 3 packs of cigarettes and has plenty of power to start the EN450. Mind you, my bike doesn't take more than half a second of cranking before it starts (I think my idle mixture screws are out a little far) but the headlight is always on and I cranked it over several times in a row without giving it a chance to charge and it didn't lose voltage.
So, this battery is sticking around but I have to figure out how to get it to stay in the battery box until I'm ready to build the new one. As it is, the bottom of the stock box is so open that the battery would fall out if I don't figure out how to secure it.

I have a small lithium in my 85 454 LTD. Cut a 2X4 to dimension and fit it in the bottom of box. Adhere closed foam pads to battery on bottom and sides so it fits snugly.
