Just got an 88 been sitting for years. Oem petcock shot. PO had purchased a new petcock and never installed, still new in bag. However this new one does not allow for the vacuum. My question should I buy a rebuild kit for the oem and retain the vacuum. Or just as well to ditch the vacuum and plug lines? Have searched threads and seems no vacuum can cause some problems. But I have the new one in hand so no cost.
Find peculiar as I have a KLR and the the no vacuum petcock on this one seems to be an upgrade.
Also. Does anybody have pics of fuel lines. None on bike when I got it so not really sure how to route them.

My 454 came with a recent petcock, no vacuum and I prefer the simplicity.
