Hi there guys.
Been awhile since I've been on here but I guess that can be a good thing since it means the bike hasn't given me issues . Until today. Way back in October I laid the bike in a ditch. Tragic I know but the bike didn't seem to be any worse for wear other than some scrapes and a bent headlight. I rode it home (with a then unrealized broken wrist) and it sat for probably 4 months. About a month ago I was back home (I go to college and store the bike at home during the winter) and it was a nice day so I decided to see if the bike would start and ride since I hadn't ridden it since the wreck. After a charge and some carb cleaner she started right up and rode fine.
Fast forward a month to today. I was going to load the bike up in my truck and take it back to school so I would have it when the weather decides to be consistently nice (anyone living in the Midwest this winter knows what I mean). I had to use a battery tender to help get it started, but then she ran fine for a solid 5-10 min without the tender. I shut her off and went to move my truck so I could load it with ramps. About 5 min later I go to start the bike and I guess I should have left the tender on for longer because it once again acted like there was not enough charge to start. After several cranking attempts something, I'm not sure what, happened.
The starter continued to be engaged with the start switch off and the key out. It was very slow however. Once it stopped (seemingly like the battery was dead) I reconnected the tender. This cause the starter to try once more (key and switch still off) and then quit. Now I went to turn the key and nothing happened. No lights or anything. I check my fuses up front as well as my main fuse on top of the battery but did not see any blown.
I'll take any suggestions guys. Thanks for any help.
