I have a 85 model. Once warmed up, not overheating, at 15 minutes into ride. It just dies going 70-75. See gas in fuel filter. After 30 seconds or so will restart and run fine all way back to house. Checked/cleaned cap to see if tank was venting and made no difference. i'm stumped.

Fuel filter may be getting dirty & not letting enough fuel through.....Or screens in petcock....Pull fuel & check flow at filter & at petcock.

If it keeps repeating this action of running fine, and after a few seconds, starting up again, it will happen more often, until it will not start at all. This happened to me, a few years ago......it is, sad to say, the IC module, dying. Replacement is needed.
