Can anyone advise me how to remove the pilot jet? Bike was sitting for years in a barn. Cleaned the carburetors, an riding now for almost a year. Couldn't get the pilot jet out so cleaned the assembly. Mains come out easily. However it is not responding satisfactory at the throttle. Bike is hesitating for a second, when opening the throttle at 4-6 k rpm. So I would check the size of the jet, and try another size. Emission stuff removed, standard filters BTW the other thing I mentioned is that I Never need to use the choke, starts always at the first hit of the button. I also noticed the the use of the choke doesn't make a big difference on how the bike runs, at least not the first 50pct opening of the choke. Milage is 10mile liter.
Any advise is highly appreciated.

Might add a good amount of SeaFoam to the gas tank, in case some crud got into the carbs, that should flush any out.

Still thinking if it is worth the risk and work to get the pilot jet out. I think that it is possible with an extractor, or whatever you name it, but that will ruin the jet, to find out that the jet size was OK..

I never had to change jet size.....Only adjust......Sounds like that is what yours needs..Out is richer.
