ive just had a new after market petcock delivered which is for the en450, but there is only one exit pipe not two as the oiginal, question is can i use it and if so do i just blank off the smaller rubber pipe that goes to the carbs

Yes just block off the vacuum line.....You will have to remember to shut the petcock off every time you shut the bike off or risk flooding the engine with raw fuel....Thats what the vacuum does....shuts the flow off when you shut the bike off.

Well it seems after a valve adjustment and carb tuning the stutter is still there, mostly noticeable in low to mid rpm. My exhaust is leaking from the crosspipe, could that cause stutter?
