I've recently purchased a 1986 454 LTD. I put about 30 miles on it today, and I noticed an oil drip. It appeared to be originating from the air box, so I removed the filter elements to confirm. Any ideas where the oil is coming from? Does it have anything to do with the air suction valve?
Any thoughts, or experiences? Oh, the bike has 7200 miles on it.
Thank you!

454ltdoffseason, a little oil in the airbox is not uncommon since the reed/breather valves vent any excess back into the airbox through a tube. This is a standard emissions setup. However, if you're getting so much oil in there that it's dripping out or that the filters have gotten soaked, then it's most likely that you have too much oil in the engine. I'd recommend draining the oil completely and the measuring it back in to spec. - Popsui
