The title says it all.
I am repairing/rebuilding an '85 that I received partly disassembled. The latest missing item I have found is that I have the ignition switch with tumbler for the key and steering lock, but the electrics aren't there. Full replacement is pricey ($150) and I would still want to use the mechanism that matches my key. No inexpensive used Ebay options available. The electrics can unclip or be removed by two small Phillips head screws.
Has anyone replaced their ignition switch electrics with something from another 80's vintage Kawasaki? Or has anyone used those generic replacements for just the electrics?
