Yesterday went out and had some 150 kms in rain with my 1985 ltd 450. At one point of a ride i had sortage of gasoline, bike died on a road and my headlights and taillight died. After a refill started a bike, there where no high, no low and no tail lights. The brake works just fine, also the blinkers and the small bulb (gaige light?) in headlight assembley.
What could be the reason for this problem and a solution?

Check the fuses in the fuse box ( the round, black plastic box next to the horn.

Yes- opened fuse box- all 3 where dead. previous owner already tried fixing them with copper whire , also he had mounted fuse box upside down to a fork, so I think there was water running in through wire hole just like from tap , so this could be the problem. but - now ive got another one. after changing fuses i noticed, that when I turn on bike, my low beam and tail light works, but gaugelight (is the small bulb in headlight assembley called that?) doesnt work. when I swich to hi beam, taillight turns off, but the gaugelight comes to life (also hi beam is working). My taillight is not factory one - it has been canged to much smaller and prettier one . What could cause this strange problem? How to fix it?

Sounds like the previous owner has got some wires crossed somewhere.
