Hello all,
So I was riding my friends 454 Saturday night, went to shift down into first gear and it seems like the shifter linkage snapped in two. Part that has two threaded ends on either side to adjust the length of the shifter. It has been pretty badly bent when we were restoring the bike and I tried to find a replacement but it seems Kawasaki no longer stocks the part. I was wondering if the Vulcan 500 LTD would have a similar tie rod. I bought one for a zzr600 as it said it fit the Vulcan 500 however it is about half an inch too short. I think that was the sellers fault for listing at that way, but same thread pattern though, just figured I'd ask the forums first before I bought another rod that wasn't going to fit. I'll have a link blow to the original shifter rod that I had on the bike before it's snapped. I'm sure somebody went down hard on it at one point and just replaced the shifter and did not even bother replacing the shifter linkage.
Thanks, Tyler
