Hello..!
I'm from Mexico and I'm new on the forum.
Mi en450 does spark but she does not start.
I bought this bike few months ago and I just know she was sat for 4-5 years.
She has 30 psi on the righ cylinder and 20 on the other one.
I've done a valve adjustment and still not start.
What can I try?
Note: She does not have the air filters.
Thanks.

Compression is way to low.....Put some oil in spark plug holes & see if compression comes up....If it does you have stuck rings.

Thanks for your reply ..!
I put a little bit of oil in spark plug holes and the compression came up
in both cylinders (left 90 psi & right 170 psi) but it just held for a short time.
As you said it seems to have stuck rings.
Do I have to start disassembling the engine?

Try putting some Marvel mystery oil In the cylinders & let it set over night..It may help free up the rings.

Ok, I'm gonna buy a liter of this oil, even though it's hard to get this product in Mexico.
But I prefer to try this before disassembling the engine.
Thank you again!
I'll post again when I have news.

You can put some automatic transmission fluid in the spark plug holes and let it set...that will work, too.

I've disassembled the engine and I got surprised!
Some piston rings are broken, so I've ordered two sets (of piston rings) on ebay.
So I'll wait while they come around.
I will clean the engine and take some photos of my bike.
I will post it.
Eaglerider, Blaine I'm very grateful to you for your help!
Thank you friends

Hello!
I've rebuilt the engine with new rings and new gaskets.
and It shows good compression.
For my bad luck, I'm pretty sure the stater motor brushes have died.
Cuz after many tries, the starter motor thunders.
So I wasn't able to start the engine.
Is there an option to take off the starter motor without removing the stator cover? (I don't wanna lose that gasket)
Thanks for reading...

Sorry, stator cover must be removed. You will understand why, when you see how the starter system is made. It is possible to remove the starter without pulling the stator cover, but starter cannot be reinstalled.

So I will pull out the stator cover.
I'll post soon.
Have a good day

Good news guys!
The bike already starts
I've not still connected cooling system though (Coolant, Hoses, Radiator, etc)
That's why I've started the bike for just two minutes approx.
Also, I've lost the thermostat. So I will look for it at home through the week
Does anybody have pictures of the cooling system?
I will appreciate it.
Thanks guys

Does anybody know how to connect all the coolant system (reservoir, thermostat, radiator, switch valve)? Do you have some photos? I'll appreciate it.
Thanks!

Ok, the air switching valve is part of the emissions system and I have removed it from my bike. However, best I can remember, the biggest port out the back ran down to the airbox, the 2 side ports go to the vents on top of the cylinder head cover, and the small port is the vacuum line to the right side carb. I have also removed my coolant overflow reservoir to work on the bike but best I can remember... the bottom line runs under the frame and thermostat housing and then up to the port just under the filler cap. I believe the top line from the reservoir is just routed down to clear the engine in case of overflow. Hope this helps.

First of all, excuse me for my English, but as I told I'm from Mexico lol. Well, I have plugged all hoses in. There is a problem though. I've started the bike for aprox 10 minutes and the fan doesn't turn on (I don't know what time or what temperature the fan has to turn on). On the other hand, the coolant liquid started to boil and the reservoir threw some warm coolant liquid trought the top out (It doesn't have the hose). So I think something is working wrong. I'll appreciate your help. Thanks

The fuse for the fan in up with the horn. If you are having to add coolant have you checked to make sure it isnt getting into the oil?

I have been following your other thread, unfortunately I dont have any ideas to give. I would suggest asking Blaine for the link to the manual if you dont have it already. Its in English but maybe it will help you figure it out.

Thanks. I already have a manual. In my lastest post I wrote the bike has a non genuine temp sensor. So I I think that's why the dash shows the temp gets until the red line. So I think that temp sensor It's doing a wrong reading.
