Will the Exhaust System off an early EN500 fit on My 1985 EN454?
Can't seem to find one for EN 454 but there seems to be quite a few for EN500.
Appreciate any help.
Mike.

The header pipes will bolt up perfect, however, they are longer than the 454. what can be done, is to cut the pipes just in front of the crossover pipe (eliminating it, then use a piece of 1 3/4 inch exhaust tubing, drive it over the header pipe as far as it will go (it is a fairly tight fit), and then cut it to whatever length you want. It can then be welded, if desired, to the header pipe, but I never had to, as when driven on, it fits tight. A harley, or any muffler with a 1 3/4 inch inlet will then clamp onto the 1 3/4 inch pipe.

Thank for that Eagle Rider, gives me a few more options.

One thing to add....the "extended" part will angle down just a little (will not be level)...you can heat both enough to slightly bend them up just a bit, so when the mufflers are installed, they will be level with the ground.

Sorry to bring this back up but do the EN500 headers have the "s" shape that is on the downpipe?

You mean the tight bends right by the engine? Yes, at least the 90 - 95 do, not positive about the last couple or three years of the Vulcans. The last years, the frame changed some. If I remember right, they used the discontinued Vulcan 800 frame the last few years of the 500. The ninja frame is different, and the header pipe is straight where it bolts to the engine.

You are correct Eagle, one of my pipes had a little crack on it so i welded it, but would like to change it later on for a new one and put some nice mufflers to make it not so quiet. 😁
