Hello all! Im Wyki and I currently have purchased a new to me 86 kawasaki 454 with 10,095 miles on it. Rode it home with no problems. At home while taking it apart I did find some things. I believe that I'm missing a relay under the seat. Its a 4 prong connector. On the left hand side of the bike, looking from the rear to handle bars. Some other details i noticed were my fan hasnt turned on. I connected it directly to the battery and it turns on, I've done a whole cooling system flush, all sensors on thermostat housing and radiator have been changed as well. Is it a possibility that the relay Im missing is a fan relay? If so where can i purchase one as nothing pops up on search engines. My shifter knuckles are worn, need to be changed, and I have a blown headlamp fuse but the light still stays on? 🤷🏻♂️ Anywho that is all for now. Just wanted to stop and introduce myself. BTW I'm in Chicago 😁 if any riders are in the area lets link up 🏍 💨

If I follow you right, that is a relay you are missing. On top of the fender, coming off the wire bundle that leads to the Turn Signal Operating Unit? If so it is part number 27002 (best I can figure) at Partzilla for the 454 in the chassis electrical diagram. Over 30 bucks though! I searched (on Duckduckgo, not Google) the part number on my relay (056700-5260) and found it at Densoproducts.com for less than 8 dollars. It looks exactly the same as mine except it doesnt come with the rubber housing that allows it to hook onto the mounting bracket. Hope this helps.
