What should I do with this bike? A friend wanted to learn to ride and wanted to buy it. I took him to a flat parking lot and was giving him some pointers. He seemed to have the concept, but within 5 minutes he ran it into a tree and broke the tack, the headlight and bent the handlebars a little. I am not planning to repair it. It has never been in the rain and has no scratches on the pipes or fenders or side covers. Wheels are also perfect and the tires have less than a thousand miles on them.. Tank is original, but has a couple of little chips not very noticeable. Has a chrome radiator cover and nice small saddle bags and holders. I just put two new signals on and have two more new ones in the house just in case. The belt is perfect and the sprockets are nice. I have extras of those as well. I have an extra fender and side covers, too. I have the original owners manual and a mechanics manual and an extra toolbox for the rear. It has a perfect luggage rack and highway bars. I can send photos from my rides last week so you can see the condition. Anyone interested in being as is or should I sell parts. The shop just put in a new stator and alternator last year and I just put in a lithium battery that only weighs a pound. Seat has no rips as well as the backrest. This photo was 2 days ago July 13th, 2020 in Leesville, sc which is right in the middle.  |

I also have a spare starter. I think I have a lot of parts for this since I never planned on getting rid of it. Just not remembering them all.

What are you looking to get out of it? I have all the spare parts needed to put that on the road in an afternoon.  |

Are you close enough to me to meet? Are you wanting it? I think the handlebars are recoverable, but the mount for the tach and the tach is destroyed and the headlight. It didn't fall over. He just ran into a tree and hit those parts and he fell off not getting hurt. I still have it in the trailer as I hate to see it. Anyway, I don't know what it is worth. I know I can sell the toolbox, the luggage rack, the belt, the highway bars and the mufflers and probably the tank and wheels eventually. The seat and sissy bar can probably be sold. As far as what it is worth I have no idea. It was priceless to me since I bought it new and have cared for it since 1989. Nobody else has ever ridden it until yesterday and that turned out to be a mistake. Anyway, I found the parts on eBay all either new or in really good condition except the mount. I really don't want to do the work as I am getting old. Is it worth $700?
