Hello everybody,
I've been owing you guys the pics of my project, and while I'm at it, I have a question, since my clutch cable snapped and had to be replaced, but I've run into an issue or two.
Started out like this.
After a few modifications.
And now I'm the proud owner of this baby.
As I said, my clutch cable snapped, and I've tried to replace it, but I've noticed that the little lever on the engine, where it attaches to the cable doesn't spring back, and I'm worried. Last time I had to change the cable I remember having to apply a bit of force to it, and it would spring back, but now it's kind of floppy. I can move it all the way back and forth without feeling any resistance. Should it be like this? Because my cables have to be customized, since I have a lower handlebar the cables are shorter, and when I put the new cable in place, and I pull on the clutch lever it doesn't bounce back into position. Should it be like this or should I feel some resistance when pulling or pushing on it?
I'm referring to this one:
