Hey guys, I'm new here so hopefully I'm creating this thread correctly. Ok so I have a 1988 Kawasaki 454ltd, I've had her for about 6 months now and have made her into a sweet bobber. I've replaced to many parts to list but my most recent work I've done is I rejetted the carbs to 135s because I'm running straight pipes. So after re-jetting and rebuilding the carbs the bike was running better than it ever has since I got it. Well one evening I decided to go for a ride and all was good for about 6-7 miles and suddenly it lost power and was running on one cylinder, I reached down with my left hand and the hose from the coolant overflow was right above the spark plug and it was arking into the coolant, it gave me a huge shock multiple times and I proceeded to get to the side of the highway where I pull over and stop. Upon examination I see that the clutch adjustment on the clutch lever itself is completely gone so I follow that cable to the right side of the bike to the clutch arm that goes into the case and that arm is pulled out of the case some so I reach down and grab that arm and am able to simply pull that arm straight out. This is the first time I've ever had any issue with anything to do with the clutch. Now the bike has always been hard to start and sometimes the starter would just spin but not engage to turn the motor over. I would push start it in second and it would fire right up and when i killed it and hit the starter again it would be engaging again and start the motor.so now I have a bike that will still go into first and neutral, tranny seems fine but I have no clutch and arm that goes into case right by the oil fill is loose and can be pulled right out. I have no idea where to start to fix this, can somebody please at least give me a starting point and/or what to check so I can get her back on the road? Please and thank you
