Hello everyone. My recently aquired 454 runs like a drem, but it has the dreaded driveline noise... The front pulley is a bit loose, and makes knackering noises, so I guess it's up for a replacement. I've searched wide and far, and with absolutely no luck... There are a few used ones on Ebay and Amazon, but they are badly used... No point in getting another old one with the same problems. So - has anyone of you ever found alternatives? Other brands or universal pulleys? There must be some way to fix this, or my romance with this beauty will be short... :-(

And don't tighten the belt too much as this is the culprit. Stay slack!

Thanks for the link, but I don't fancy putting that much money into such an old bike... What are you all doing when the front sprocket is worn? If you cannot get a new one, what to do? Can it be fixed somehow? Maybe weld it and get new grooves cut? There must be another possibility than scrapping the bike...

Chain conversion. I bobbed out an en450 years ago, and in order to fit a 17-inch rear wheel, I had to swap the sprocket carrier and convert to a chain. You can do it with a ninja 500 sprocket set and carrier.
