Started off with a 87 off of CL that the seller neglected to tell me the frame was bent until after I had it loaded on the trailer and my money in his hand. You live, you learn.
So, had to get a whole other carcass from the junkyard, and started (again) with essentially less than 2 bikes with lots of parts.

Ended up with an 89 (per the title) with < 2400 on the clock and runs amazing.
Put a 750 front end on it, 500 rear swing arm, and basically did a full frame off resto minus getting into the engine (it was fine).
My buddy does auto body and painted the frame, wheels & fenders/tank for me. I sewed the seat with the Rising Sun to dedicate to the 100 places the bike has embossed "Made in Japan" on it. Actually, that is what the lettering says (in 4 layers of vinyl) on the sissy bar.
The bike is a joy to drive, very nimble and tuned as well as I can get it for 4400' with stock jetting.
Thank you to all of the members here to include most respectfully, Eagle, for all of your assistance over the years.
