Hoping to get an '85 454 LTD that's been sitting for about six years up and running this winter.

Hey all!
Long-time lurker with a new-to-me '85 that I'm working on getting road-worthy leading up to my BRC and licensure.
Had a quick question, as I'm a bit of a newbie to the motorcycle maintenance and "modding" world. So, as I'm looking to replace the handlebars anyways with a Euro style set, and 5-inch throttle tubes and grips seem to be much more common (at least as I'm googling away), could I (in theory) simply replace the entire throttle assembly with a 5-inch version on the new bars? Or is there someone that makes a 5-inch throttle tube that would fit the EN450A's throttle assembly? I would assume the former would absolutely be doable, but just curious if I'm missing something that would make it totally not plausible to use a throttle assembly not built to the specifications of the OEM unit.
I'm pretty resourceful and have been able to find solutions for most everything else, but this one, as simple of a question as it might be, is stumping me. Any recommendations/knowledge/help, would certainly be helpful. My big thing here is that I'd like to preserve all original parts throughout the process, so that either the bike can be reverted to its current state if I ever decide down the road to part ways with it, or those parts could be used to assist someone in the future.
Thanks for any tips anyone can give me!

i dont realy understand you question, but if you just want to change your handlebars then the only thing you will change is the handlebars them self most bars that are 7/8" will fit the en450, the 1" will not unless your bike is the en500

It's less the handlebars than it is the throttle assembly on the bars. Bars should be an easy swap.
From what I've been able to gather on the forum, the OEM throttle assembly uses a 5.5-inch throttle tube. I'm looking to use a slightly shorter 5-inch throttle tube instead, in which case, I'd assume I'd need to swap the entire throttle assembly from an OEM unit to an aftermarket one (7/8 inch to fit the handlebars), rather than just the throttle tube?
Perhaps I'll just take some detailed notes when I swap the handlebars, and then do a total overhaul on switches and throttle assembly come winter. The less I look at throttle assemblies specifically and more at custom setups for handlebar controls, it seems it should be simple enough, so long as I buy the same type (single cable, push/pull, etc.) of throttle assembly. I'm honestly probably just overthinking it at this point.
