Hi. I have an issue water being pumped Into the oil.very quickly. After a fresh oil change and just a few minutes of running, the oil went white.
I am ordering the seals and gaskets, but the impeller shaft has slight corrosion. We THINK it won't matter as the part close to the crankcase is clean and no corrosion.Does anyone know if this impeller shaft can be removed without splitting the engine?
It only has a flat on the end to grip, and I can't see how to remove it as I would purchase a new one if I could remove it.
Many thanks. PAUL

Dear ollie, regards from Chile.
The impeller can be removed easily. You must turn it clockwise (It has inverted thread).
The impeller shaft the same: tourn it clockwise for remove.
The motorcycle must be in the first gear during the whole procedure.
Torque specs from manual:
Shaft torque = 25 Nm (2,5 kg-m or 18,0 ft-lb)
Impeller torque = 9,8 Nm (1,0 kg-m or 87 in lb)
(Note: comma separates entire numbers from decimals)
When my first time doing the procedure, accidentally I overtorqued the impeller and damages the shaft... Please, be very careful with torque.
